Mark S. Deion is the President and owner of DEION ASSOCIATES & STRATEGIES, INC. His entire professional
career has been dedicated to furthering the causes of business development domestically and internationally.
Mr. Deion’s domestic activities focus on strategic planning and development for a broad range of companies and
industry sectors. These services are provided to viable companies but also serve as a critical service to companies
in turnaround requiring crisis management. Additionally, internet planning and web site development have become
a key service which is offered to numerous companies and organizations.
While working towards business development in the US with various client companies, Mr. Deion has also worked
extensively with many government agencies such as the US Small Business Administration, the US Department of
Commerce, the US Securities & Exchange Commission. He communicates frequently with members of Congress
and other US Government agencies to promote business development initiatives. Many of the educational programs
which he has developed have been used by government agencies, colleges, universities and trade organizations.
While working with various business development initiatives including access to capital, fair lending practices, and
the creation of programs to foster business training and development in numerous venues, Mr. Deion is also involved
in other issues as well. He works extensively with legislative reform regarding: healthcare, prescription drug costs,
minority and women-owned businesses, taxation, and international trade. He can frequently be found in Washington,
D.C. representing many of the interests of the business owner, citizen or consumer.
Mr. Deion has also applied many of these skills to business development in the Former Soviet Union (FSU). He
maintains numerous strategic alliances with US and FSU entities which facilitate many of these activities. Some
of his business development programs have been presented to private companies and government representatives
in Ukraine, Latvia and Belarus. He has also trained professionals who present development programs in the FSU.
