Although similar in nature to our management review services, our operational review services are designed
to review all operational activities of the business. These reviews can be company-wide, or, directly related
to the activities of one department/division, but a single-department review will require an analysis of the
impacts other departments have on the operating activities of the single department being reviewed.
An operational review can be used to identify a breakdown in communication between management and
staff, mis-communication between departments, problems with customer relations, and a variety of other issues
of significant concern.
Even though the company may have a current business plan in place, the daily activities of the company might
not be in compliance with the goals and objectives of the plan. An operational review can assist in identifying
what is not working properly, or, if the objectives of the business plan need to be revised.
In some instances, operational reviews are requested to assure management and/or lenders that current activities
or proposed activities will not expose the company to unwarranted risks. This becomes important during expansion
modes, since what might be an insignificant problem at present could become a major problem after expansion has
taken place.
